It is because of the dedication and determination of the men and women of Beatty that this club exists
today. The current club is one of three separate charters. The original charter was obtained in November of 1938, the second
in May of 1959 and the current charter in March of 1994. More importantly, the founding of the Beatty Lions Club has
enabled us to reach out repeatedly to our friends and neighbors when they need a helping hand, a "scholarship", glasses to
see, and hearing aids to hear. These men and women, began a legacy that continues to serve our community today.
Over the past 71 years the Beatty Lions and their bright gold vests have become a visible reminder that there are people in our community who care. At present we have over 15 active members (both male and female) and are looking to expand the membership. The Lions Club offers many ways to be an active part of our community and we encourage anyone interested to contact us. Our association was founded in Chicago in 1917. Lions Clubs International has grown to be the world's largest.
