generous donation of land and industrial buildings from Barrick Gold. The intent of the donation was to mitigate economic loss to the community associated with cessation of their mining operations in the area. The goal of the BEDC is to put the donated 81 acre site and buildings into productive use, thereby generating economic benefits for Beatty residents.
